STEVEN GERRARD HAS ENDURED ENOUGH ENGLAND HURT TO
LAST A LIFETIME BUT NOW INTENDS TO RE-WRITE HISTORY.
As England prepares to face Italy in Kiev tonight, Gerrard issued a rallying cry to his team-mates.
“I’ve
dreamt of winning things since I’ve been a young boy,” he said. “Once you get
to this stage of a competition, the quarter-final, and you can see what’s in
sight, you start to dream.

“It’s
important we grasp this opportunity and we don’t go home with any regrets.”
Gerrard
hopes England’s record of not reaching a semi-final since Euro 96 is consigned
to history.

only thing we can do against Italy is try and play at a good level, leave
everything out there and give your best. Hopefully that’s enough to take you
